A memorial to
Snowflake
9/13/2005-10/1/2005
As difficult as this is to think back upon the time that Snowflake was in our lives, it is important to remember the impact that he/she had on all of us.  He/She was born in Ocean City, MD. Tom and I delivered him/her to Caye at the York Rally as a gift of love.  While Snowflake left us sooner that expected, he/she gave us minutes of joy. While you never expect to get so close to another in such a short period of time, snowflake brought with him/her a sense of independence combined with an innocence which is very rare these days. We could trust him/her to be alone in the hotel room without fear of him/her taking our worldly possessions and when we returned he/she would sit on the picnic table and listen to our stories of the day. He/She celebrated our successes and did not judge us for our inadequacies.  Snowflake was cremated, as were his/her wishes, and will be remembered for his/her smile which radiated his/her love through all of us. Thank you for coming into our lives. You will not be forgotten.  What also won't be forgotten is how he/she died.  Paul claims that he was trying to put air holes in the lid of the container but we think otherwise.  Prior to the untimely stabbing, Paul was visibly irritated because instead of listening to his "fascinating stories" we instead were talking about snowflake.  He claims that it was a mistake but he will have to be judged in the after-life.  All I know is that after the incident, he started talking, as if nothing had happened.  Curious!
